Report the depreciation calculation in an Excel format. This expedites the JV process and reporting in the CAFR.
The depreciation report provides detail of each asset. This report should be available in Excel, then sorted by asset for the jv entry to post in the general ledger. Also the Excel format provides the depreciation by function required in the CAFR.
13 votesWe plan to make changes to Fixed Asset reporting this year. The depreciation report itself may not go to excel, but we are reviewing including the Accum and Current Depreciation on the Fixed Asset Listing.

Adding summary by fund on the bottom of the Cash Receipts Batch Verification Listing
Can a summary by fund be added to the bottom of the Cash Receipts Batch Verification Listing, Similar to how this feature was added this year to the Budget Entry Verification Listing.

Allow the notes in the Budget Prep area to be carried over from year to year.
Just as the adopted budget detail carries forward to the next year's budget/revenue prep file, so should the notes. Then they only have to be edited if they have changed from one year to the next instead of re-entered each year.

Not having the ability to run the Budget Transaction Inquiry report using Summarize Sub Account for Report Type is a major problem.
Not having the ability to run the Budget Transaction Inquiry report using Summarize Sub Account for Report Type is a major problem. Having this feature allows the user to review all grants and or other appropriations added to the system during a specific period without having to review each sub line. Look at the option available in The Budget Account Status Screen displayed in the attachment as compare to what you offer in the Budget Transaction Inquiry screen. It will help immensely if we can have those options in the Budget Transaction Inquiry screen.

Would like to take advantage of payment discount options
When generating requisitions I would like to see a field to input early payment discounts (i.e. 1% 10 net 30) and affect associated invoices. this would be helpful on all type of purchase orders including blankets.

Remove recurring batches from the EOY routine.
Because our cash window could not process payments on July 1, we had to run the preliminary EOY routine. Because of this I cannot run any of my recurring closing entries in the prior year. There is no difference between a standard entry and a recurring entry. I now have to re-key each of my end of month entries, which totally defeats the reason to have recurring entries

Track the State Contract Type in Vendor Maint and default this info on the REQ or PO
The box for State contract should be a drop down to allow for the input of County Co-Op or County Bid contract numbers. These too should auto populate.

MICR Checks- Detect in MICR Font is Installed First Prior to Printing
When print AP or Paychecks, validate to see if the computer has the MICR13B.ttf font installed prior to printing any checks. If new computers are set up and this is missed, sometimes the user does not pick it up prior to updating their checks.

A/P Vendors need a note field like A/R Vendors.

Voiding checks / payments
Print report showing G/L effects when voiding a check or invoice payment when using void routine. Now once the routine is run, nothing is printed and the user has to print a separate report to attach to voided check or invoice payment.

Fixed Assets - Vendor name
Please transfer the vendor name from the Purchase Order to the Fixed Asset Maintenance screen. Would make it much easy to research if you knew where the item was purchased from.

Add a field in Vendor Inquiry
Add an invoice number field when in vendor maintenance/detail, so that you don't have to open each invoice to see the invoice number. When a statement is received from a vendor, and you want to check and make sure that you have received each invoice, you currently have to open each invoice individually to see the invoice number.

Ability to do automatic reversing journal entries.
Revenue and expense accrual journal entries are done at the end of the year or during the year and it would be helpful to put a date in and the journal entry will automatically reverse the journal on the day key into the system. Please see the attached.

Allow Tracking ID's to be added to all expenditures and revenues
Allow tracking id's to be added to all expenditures and revenues, not just on purchase orders, to be able to track all expenses and revenues associated with certain projects.

Ability to link a Budget Batch Transaction to a PO
Ability to pay a Purchase Order through the budget batch so the manual check batch option does not need to be used, and also to adjust paid PO line items.
