ABILITY TO HAVE MULTIPLE UTILITY ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE SCREENS OPEN AT ONE TIME
It would be extremely helpful to be able to have multiple Utility Account Maintenance windows open at one time...because if you are in the middle of adjusting something on a customers account then you have to make sure you save and remember what you were doing or cancel out and start over to look up the other information that you now need!
We know we could create a second "user" account for each person so they could open another instance of MCSJ in another window but we don't want a bunch of extra users in the system just for that…

Add a report off the detail button in Utility Account Maintenance that shows all billing and meter readings.
Nags Head felt this would be useful since customers come in to question their bills all the time. One report would easily allow them to have something readily accessible that can be given to the customer.

Have the ability to run water/sewer report by lienholder when subs are requested just as you can do with tax
when a lienholder sends a request to pay subs for tax we can run a delinq
report by lienholder id, however we are not able to do this for water and

Shopping Cart Feature inside the Payment Window
We would like the ability to choose to use the shopping cart feature INSIDE the payment window without having to exit the screen and go back into the same batch to use it.

Add tabs for meter readings and transactions in utility account maintenance
Add a tab for meter readings and one for transactions so that we don't have to go through the Detail button.

Ability to reprint a utility bill as it was sent, not after payments were applied...
We know we can print and save the original bills to PDF and we do that every month but it is very time consuming to have to go back to 12 different PDF files in order to search for the original bill for that one customer. Then sometimes the "find" feature does not work properly so we have to go through ALL the bills in that one PDF file to find that one customers bill that we need to reprint.
This process is very time consuming and if we are gathering the information for a large public records request then…

Utility Transaction Inquiry should show User ID/Batch ID like the Tax Transaction Inquiry does.
This would make it easier to find stubs for payments when the auditors ask for them. In larger towns when there are multiple cashiers and hundreds of transactions a day it would make it easier to narrow down what work we need to go through.

We would like to be able to re-send an individual e-bill through utility account maintenance window. Right now the only option is to go through the print utility bill process.

Add Account Number to Tax Sale Listing
For the Tax Sale Listing - Add to the drop down list for report sequence to include account number, or a box to be checked that would allow the account number to be on the listing for the utility side of the tax sale.

Making a negative reading an error on the Meter Reading Entry Verification Listing
Negative reading do not show up as an error, therefore you have to scroll through the report to see if there are negatives or update the report and run a tripped read report. It would be nice to have them show up at the end of the report as a warning or error.

Copy of all Ebills sent
It would be helpful if the email bills would generate a PDF after they have been sent with a copy of all the email bills. That way we have a copy on file of those bills that we can re-print later if needed. Sometimes the auditors request original copies of those bills and we don't really have a way to reprint an original bill as it was sent after payments are made.

Ability to Read an entire route using the work order app...
The current work order app has a "meter read entry" option that you can enter a read in with. You don't have to have a work order assigned to you in order to do this. It has the potential to be used for meter reading if you could possibly select a route and then you could see and read all the meters in that route in their order. As the meters are read and the reads are submitted, it creates a MR Batch in MCSJ and constantly updates that batch with readings! It's really cool.

Show number of days between meter reads on Meter Reading Detail Reports
Meter detail report should show number of days between meter reads. Part of our billing is strictly based on number of days between reads and can make a substantial difference in a customer's bill. It would be ideal to have that information in the Meter Detail Report with all the other Meter Reading DETAILS!!!!

Add a calculate bill button near the "Recalculate bill" button
The re-calculate bill button is awesome BUT if someone was never billed in that period due to an error of some sort [I.E. They were never made active, etc.] then that button does not work and you have to calculate a bill manually. It would be awesome if after adjusting the meter readings as needed and making services active that you could then hit a button that would calculate their bill based on those changes that you just made.

Change the work order to appear on utility maintenance to red(when there is a current work order) to black when the wo is completed. Have th
Work Orders- When the work order is open have the "user message" stay in red. Once the work order is completed and processed have the "user message" change to black. Keep the black "user message" on the Utility Maintenance screen for easy reference.
