When Q1 is enabled, simplify the ability to enter qualifiers to pull up accounts, c0001
Prior to 2018, the Borough of Wanaque did not have any cell towers that were taxed. The enable Q1 button was not selected in the Collections Parameter Maintenance General screen. When entering B/L/Q we could simply enter the qualifier as such (c0001) and the account would be pulled up. This was simple to do in both Tax Account Maintenance and also in a payment batch.
In 2018, when the Boro established a cell tower with a qualifier of T01 we discovered we were unable to pull up this specific account. After speaking with Edmunds, we were told that the Q1 button had to be enabled. This seemed to work perfect! However, once the Q1 button is enabled it causes issues for all the other "C" qualifiers. Now in order to pull up any account with a "C" qualifier it must be entered exactly as follows ( -C0001- -) . If you enter it as we did before like (c0001) it pops up that it is an invalid account ID.
As all fellow Tax Collectors and collection staff know, when we are posting hundreds of tax payments a day anything to speed along the process makes a huge difference. We have 2 large condo communities with these qualifiers.
If we uncheck the Q1 button, it goes back to how it was prior, BUT why do we have to check and uncheck this button to simplify our job? It seems like a bug that complicates this process.
Please make it the same easy way to pull up qualifiers (c0001) whether Q1 is enabled or not.
