Temporary and permanent accounts status flags.
Would like to be able to mark inactive accounts as temporarily or permanently inactive. And they want to be able run a report every billing period to see just temporarily inactive accounts and review if they should still be inactive.
A comment was posted suggesting how to handle this in the system. Please chime back if you have more thoughts on this enhancement. Thanks for the suggestion. Edmunds Support
I would recommend using a "User Code" to flag an account as a specific "Inactive Status" type. Th Custom Utility Report can be set-up to run for inactive accounts and user message codes and printed to excel. From excel the data can be filtered by your defined user message codes. Don't forget to save the report as a template so you can easily run it again.
The permanently inactive account can be called a discontinued account and therefore all other inactive accounts would be temporarialy inactive. This way you would be able to run a monthly report for inactive accounts and review to see if their status should change.
