  1. Payroll Tax Information

    At the conclusion of the payroll register detail report, information is contained reflecting the totals for Social Security (Employer + Employee amounts); Medicare (Employer + Employee amounts) and Federal Withholding Amounts; however, if you need to generate a Payroll Register History Report for a particular time period, no tax information is included in this report. For example, I generate the last three pages of the Payroll Register History Report for our bi-weekly payroll along with the G/L Balance Report to retain with my bi-weekly tax filings; however, I have to manually calculate the totals of FWT, Social Security and Medicare…

  2. When voiding & replacing a paycheck, actually print the new physical check.

    We have blank check stock for our payroll. Right now, as far as I know, I have no way of replacing a lost paycheck with the next available check other than by voiding that entire payroll for that check, reentering it and going through the whole process. Since their is an option to "void & replace", allow Edmunds to print the actual physical replacement check that goes with the new check # assigned, along with updating the employee records/register, check list, etc.

  3. Add an error code to warn that there are entries on time sheets still in draft mode for all type (part time/seasonal, etc.) employees.

    System currently warns if hours are entered on time sheet but not submitted for full time employees.... but not for other type employees such as part time or seasonal. Please update the warning to include all pay types. Thanks.

  4. Add a void payroll check option that can be run independently...without having to go through payroll processing.

    The include voids option running with payroll is great if you are voiding and replacing a payroll check but that is not always the case. We need an option to void a check that won't be replaced in a timely manner (not having to wait until the next payroll processing)..... Especially if it happens to fall on the last payroll of a calendar or fiscal year.

  5. Change the employee time entry with no time sheet entries to an option instead of automatic.

    Employees with NO time sheet entries are automatically entered into payroll processing by the system....It pulls the number of hours as shown on their hours ID and creates a time entry for them. This is a serious problem...especially when entering new employees into the system as they may not yet be eligible for a paycheck by the upcoming payroll processing period. If they don't have a time sheet entry and approval, a warning would be nice but don't automatically add hours for them and throw them into payroll processing.     Add hourly rate on Payroll Register Report. This will enhance review of payroll to verify rates have not been modified during payroll processing.

  7. Allow the system to calculate annual base salary by multiplying amount entered in annual hours ID by hourly rate.

    Allowing the annual base pay to automatically calculate will save data entry time every time rates are adjusted and ensure that reports that include annual pay are correct.

  8. Payroll Advice Emails should have the option to password protect attachments

    The software should allow the pdf attachments for payroll advices to be password protected for security.

  9. IRS Employee Withholding Compliance Letters-a checkbox is needed to show that a compliance letter is on file & allowances can't change

    Currently, there is no way to tell in Edmunds if an IRS Withholding Compliance letter has been received for an employee. A checkbox on the employee's Tax Exemption page that would lock the Federal withholding boxes to prevent change to the allowances/withholding is needed.

  10. Have an option to replace an attendance code and hours when cancelling a leave request.

    We utilize schedules to populate a 40 hour work week for all of our employees that are not salaried. Currently when someone cancels a leave request their time sheet is updated to remove those hours of leave, so after cancelling leave you need to go into the time sheet to add regular hours back in to make up your 40 hour week. It would be nice if the cancel leave request prompted you to enter a replacement attendance code/hours to update the time sheet in one step.

  11. Separate YTD Regular Hours and YTD Overtime Hours on Direct Deposit Notice

    It would be helpful if paystubs included YTD Regular Hours and YTD Overtime hours separately. Employees have to request a report or calculate it themselves so having those two earning hours broken down on the paystub would alleviate extra work for HR and provide employees the information they need. This would help especially when they see their W-2 and do not understand why their earnings are less in the current calendar year than the previous calendar year, even though their annual salary was higher in the current calendar year.   12. Benefit Data

    Could benefit data be added as an option to the Personnel/Employee Custom Listing to allow for a more detailed report? This would provide the ability to gather employee salary and benefit data together.

    Having pay vouchers reflect YTD balances for Accrued, Taken/used as well as the current used and YTD balances.

  14. More fields are needed for various types of leave.

    Only 4 types of leave are allowed to be selected. Some types of leave are "special" & for us, need to be separate from the limited selection.

  15. Warning for Re-Adding an Existing Employee

    It would be great to have a warning pop-up to state then when going to save a new employee into the system that "you already have this SSN in the system as employee #_____, do you wish to continue to save?" If Yes, it saves, if No, it cancels out.

    We just had a situation where we have an entered an employee 3 different times into the program (he was/is seasonal) (2 terminated and 1 now active). When running his earnings report we picked the wrong employee ID when we first looked him up by last name as it went…

  16. Additional Parameters when entering time and attendance

    Please consider adding time period restraints to certain codes in the attendance and payroll modules. For example, an employee is assigned to a six month probationary period, he requests 8 hours of annual leave. The organization's personnel policy stipulates that probationary employees are not afforded the opportunity to take vacation days during that period. It would be helpful, if when entering time a red flag appear stating the employee is not eligible for annual leave and also not allow the entry to continue without a manager override.   17. Direct Deposit Email Distribution

    To have the Direct Deposit email distributed on a certain date rather than the Direct Deposit email being sent when the payroll is processed. Example: When payroll for 1/31/2018 is processed on 1/19/2018 the Direct Deposit Emails are sent on 1/19/2018. If there could be a way to have the Direct Deposit emails delayed to a date certain such as 1/31/2018 when payroll is paid.

  18. Post Dating Deductions/Earnings to begin on a given date

    It would be very helpful to be able to enter a deduction/earning into payroll maintenance with an effective date in the future.

    When a new employee is enrolled, it is much easier to enter all deductions/earnings with the appropriate effective date than to depend on memory to back and enter the deduction/earning later.

    It would also save time when deduction amounts change as of a given date.

  19. Full Cycle Applicant Tracking System

    Coming from 2 previous government agencies I have been involved with implementing applicant tracking systems for the agencies. I was disappointed to find out that Edmunds does not offer a full cycle applicant tracking system. I would like to see a system added that we can enter requisitions (job postings) and create applications where applicants can apply on line and the information is imported directly into Edmunds. Once an applicant hits submit the application should be available to view in PDF form in Edmunds. The requisition #'s is used to track different open positons and applications received.
