  1. Link accounts by Owner and/or Bill To information for reporting purposes

    This will allow easier reporting for high user and high billed accounts that auditors request. For example, if a school district, electric company, apartment complex, etc. has several accounts, they could be linked by a field kind of like how the Location ID works. Currently, it takes a lot of time to ensure all accounts are included.

  2. Ability to Read an entire route using the work order app...

    The current work order app has a "meter read entry" option that you can enter a read in with. You don't have to have a work order assigned to you in order to do this. It has the potential to be used for meter reading if you could possibly select a route and then you could see and read all the meters in that route in their order. As the meters are read and the reads are submitted, it creates a MR Batch in MCSJ and constantly updates that batch with readings! It's really cool.

  3. Copy of all Ebills sent

    It would be helpful if the email bills would generate a PDF after they have been sent with a copy of all the email bills. That way we have a copy on file of those bills that we can re-print later if needed. Sometimes the auditors request original copies of those bills and we don't really have a way to reprint an original bill as it was sent after payments are made.

  4. Include race and ethnicity on new utility account customers

    Could the new account information for utilities include boxes for race and ethnicity? We have a USDA loan, and one of the compliance questions asked for numbers of utility customers by race and ethnicity.

  5. add a "radio install date" field to w/s meter detail screen

    a ”radio install date” field should be added to the W/S Meter tab. Water meter useful lives are not necessarily on the same timeline as the radio –read devices they communicate to. Different battery lives are associated with the specific MXU’s issue date and also the replacement of failed MXU’s or a switch to a migrateable MXU (Sensus walk-by/drive- by MXU’s were not fixed base compatible in prior years) result in the MXU install dates being different from the meter install date. The radio date will enable replacement planning/budgeting. Sometimes only batteries are changed.

  6. Work Orders - Provide designated fields for New Meters

    Work Orders - Currently the work orders do not have a designated field for new meters.
    EXAMPLE : New Meter # ____________ Rmvd Mtr# _____________

    At present when the Power Crew, Meter techs get the orders sometimes because these areas are not printed the information isn't provided because of human error. Multipliers are a priority. If a multiplier is X1 but is changed to a Multiplier of 600 it is a very costly mistake. We have…

  7. Tablet generated work orders when field completes assign to the office

    If a work order is generated out in the field by a tablet it should be able to be sent or assigned back to the office to update the software/database

  8. Add City/State and Zip Code to Property Location.

    We service several zip codes that have the same street name. For example, Pine St. could be in three different Property Location Zip Codes. This would allow for easier identification of a property location when reports are run and when searching a location in Utility Account Maintenance.

  9. Penalty Calculation

    In utilties under penalty/calculation update, could you please, please, PLEASE make the report NOT update until we want it to, so we can take the customer's off that are not to get a penalty for that billing period. I know about the exempt buttons in their accounts but if you have a hundred cutoffs, then you'll have to check and uncheck buttons for each account not to get a penalty so as not to get turned off when they weren't supposed to get a penalty to start with.   10. Ability to reprint a utility bill as it was sent, not after payments were applied...

    We know we can print and save the original bills to PDF and we do that every month but it is very time consuming to have to go back to 12 different PDF files in order to search for the original bill for that one customer. Then sometimes the "find" feature does not work properly so we have to go through ALL the bills in that one PDF file to find that one customers bill that we need to reprint.

    This process is very time consuming and if we are gathering the information for a large public records request then…

  11. Allow user to enter a meter reading of 0 (zero) while doing a final water bill, when applicable

    Occasionally when there are properties in town that are being flipped new meters are installed a month or two prior to the home being sold. Because of minimal usage of the contractor or person flipping the home the meter reading is zero (less then 1000 gals used and therefore still at zero). If I try to enter 0 as a meter reading in the final bill adj screen the program doesn't allow me to continue. I understand it would be a zero usage bill however it would still be a prorated minimum bill. Just the same as when there is…

  12. Box needed for Tested Meters

    A default Meter Test box is needed in Utility Account Maintenance (Power Meter Tab) so that we can track the meter that has been tested. The Meter test box should follow the meter not the customer.....just as the serial number or ERT ID does. We simply can insert a date. It would be an added bonus if we could enter the test results.
    Example FL 99.67% LL 98.99%. This would help assisting customers who complain with high bill usage. Placing a note on a customers account does't not help if 10 customers have moved in and out of a location…

  13. Time stamp on work orders

    Just spoke to James at Edmunds about a time stamp on work orders when created. He said it is not available, this would help us to track the time between when a work order is created, and when it was acted on. It looks like other people do have time of day on their work orders, why don't I?

  14. Ability to search by backflow serial number

    Many times when we receive the backflow tests from the plumbers, they do not include account numbers which makes it difficult to track down which account number that particular device belongs to, especially when there are multiple accounts with multiple different devices. It would be extremely helpful if there was a search field for backflow serial numbers just like the meter number search fields

  15. BE ABLE TO REPRINT PAYMENT BATCH UPDATE REPORT BY BATCH ID!

    If the printer stops working or if you accidentally hit cancel rather than print after updating a batch, it would be extremely helpful if you are able to REPRINT the "PAYMENT BATCH UPDATE/POSTING REPORT" by using your batch ID.

  16. ABILITY TO HAVE MULTIPLE UTILITY ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE SCREENS OPEN AT ONE TIME

    It would be extremely helpful to be able to have multiple Utility Account Maintenance windows open at one time...because if you are in the middle of adjusting something on a customers account then you have to make sure you save and remember what you were doing or cancel out and start over to look up the other information that you now need!

    We know we could create a second "user" account for each person so they could open another instance of MCSJ in another window but we don't want a bunch of extra users in the system just for that…

  17. Add Tax Sale warning on Wipp Payments

    When posting payments for a property with Tax Sale flag you receive a warning that the property is in Tax Sale before you post the payment. This does not happen when you take a WIPP payment because you don't update the payment in Edmunds until after you processed the payment online. You need the system to check for the tax sale flag when you hit the swipe card button.

  19. Ability to backspace in the account ID field in the payment window

    Currently in the payment window when typing in the account ID field in both boxes you cannot backspace if an error is made, you have to physically click in the box, highlight the information and delete all numbers. Furthermore if you type in the right account number in box one but you type in the wrong number in box two you can't even highlight and correct it; it either goes back to the last account ID you were working with or it just gives you an error.

    Having the ability to backspace in these fields would cut out a lot…

  20. Making a negative reading an error on the Meter Reading Entry Verification Listing

    Negative reading do not show up as an error, therefore you have to scroll through the report to see if there are negatives or update the report and run a tripped read report. It would be nice to have them show up at the end of the report as a warning or error.
