  1. Have the ability to run Aging reports and Invoice listings one or more invoice types.

    This would allow the different departments the ability to print their own aging reports or invoice listings. Also add the Print to excel option.

  2. Estimate Bills on Quarterly Average for 3 to 5 years

    Add option to auto estimated billing that would allow you to estimate water bills based on a average by period and not average for the whole year. Our District bills quarterly and usage changes for our customers each quarter. Usage in the winter months is much less than usage in the summer months. A Three year average for the first quarter would produce the most accurate bill for our customers.

  4. Handling deferred pay / buy outs

    Change the software to NOT allow a negative pay if a deduction plus taxes bring the net into a negative. Example: In other Payroll software if I pay someone and want to defer as much as possible of the gross, I feed in the gross, the same amount to be deferred and the system knows by priority to take the necessary taxes and then puts the balance towards the deferred deduction and leaves a zero balance. In your system, a lot of time is spent going back to the time entries and trying to back into the correct amount and…

  5. Allow user to enter search fee for new liens when the new liens are created using create/update liens.

    System gives option for adding recording fees, it should also allow search fee to be added. currently they must be manually added, in larger towns this takes a lot of time.

  6. Pension Information Tab on ESS

    We recently implemented and one suggestion I had while training with John Clifford was to put a tab on ESS for an Employees Pension Information.

    Coincidentally, the same time we had training, the State of NJ Division of Pension and Benefits announced that they would no longer be providing paper pension benefit statements, and with everything now being more and more on MBOS, a good amount of our employees needed to register online for their pension accounts.

    One downside was that no one knew their pension number, which is required for account sign-up.

  7. Have the option to create a misc type code that can automatically make subsequent adjustments.

    Currently if lien holders are posting subsequent payments on a property that was generated in the tax sale, the advertising costs need to be posted with a regular misc payment code, and manually adjusted onto the lien. It would be much easier to have them automatically adjust onto the lien with the rest of the charges.

  9. PDF Letters on a large scale.

    Currently in utility billing there is an option to print PDF letters on a single account basis. However, there are many towns that would like to pull information from utility account maintenance, tax account maintenance, animal maintenance, etc but for a range of accounts all at one time. As well as being able to record the letter being sent in the notes on a large scale.

  11. Utility Transaction Inquiry should show User ID/Batch ID like the Tax Transaction Inquiry does.

    This would make it easier to find stubs for payments when the auditors ask for them. In larger towns when there are multiple cashiers and hundreds of transactions a day it would make it easier to narrow down what work we need to go through.

  12. Allow Tracking ID's to be added to all expenditures and revenues

    Allow tracking id's to be added to all expenditures and revenues, not just on purchase orders, to be able to track all expenses and revenues associated with certain projects.

  13. Add ability to add an invoice line item with a current year date on an invoice generated from the prior year; add Preview to Penalty Calc

    The system does not allow you to create new line items on an invoice from the prior year. It would also be helpful to have a Verification Listing or Preview to run prior to calculating penalty.
